The Embodied editor

✨ Editing + mentoring for writers whose work is emotional, spiritual, taboo, or embodied.I help you clarify voice, deepen presence, and shape writing that feels alive-- both on the page and in the body.

Between exile & home

An 8-week experiential writing circle for spiritually displaced and nomadic Jews. Through writing prompts, embodied practices, Jewish wisdom, and shared ritual, we reclaim voice, build friendship, and create community across distance. This is for Jews who feel between worlds... culturally, spiritually, geographically, and are longing for a place to write, be witnessed, and belong.

I’m Paulette— a nomadic writer with a deep devotion to the unknown.I’m a published poet and former editor-in-chief of an award-winning magazine. Over the past decade, I’ve supported 200+ writers in reclaiming their voice through mentorship, editing, and creative practice. My work is shaped by years as a Jewish educator, creative mentor for emerging startups, professional poet for an animation studio, and certified yoga instructor—bringing together embodiment, spiritual inquiry, and craft. I’m also the creator of Wyld Mystic, an Australian ritual-wear and talisman project.I create spaces where writing becomes a place to land .:. honest, alive, and deeply human.

between exile & home

An intimate 8-week virtual gathering for spiritually displaced Jews seeking voice, meaning, and connection.Through Jewish wisdom, embodied practice, and guided writing, we create a shared container for reflection, creativity, and community. This is a place to write from exile toward home, and to meet others walking a similar path—wherever you are in the world.

How the Circle Works

First Session begins February 4th/5th (depending on timezone)Wednesdays at 5:00pm Pacific/ 8:00pm Eastern / Thursdays at 12:00pm Sydney (AEST)~We meet once a week for 75 minutes in live ritual space~Each gathering includes grounding, shared learning, writing, and reflection~Between sessions, you’ll receive weekly writing prompts and invitations to continue the work~A private group chat supports connection, sharing, and community throughout the eight weeks~The circle is intentionally small to support trust, presence, and meaningful exchange.

Who This Is For

This space is open to Jews and Jew-ish folks of all backgrounds... nondenominational, curious, questioning, returning, or re-imagining. You don’t need prior knowledge, belief, or a “good” relationship with Judaism, only an openness to explore ritual, be witnessed, and write. This circle is for those willing to show up with honesty and care, open to vulnerability, to meeting exiled parts of the self, and to exploring personal and ancestral stories through a Jewish lens. While this is not a therapy space, it does invite reflection on inherited memory, displacement, and belonging, held with respect, consent, and community.Participants are asked to engage with curiosity, confidentiality, and care for both themselves and others.

Exchange

The exchange for the full 8 weeks is offered on a sliding scale of $54–$360 USD, in service of accessibility and shared responsibility. If money is a barrier, please reach out.
I genuinely want you here.
